Dhindsa Gives Away Lottery Prize Money To The Winners

Finance Minister, Punjab Mr. Parminder Singh Dhindsa today handed over the demand drafts of prize money to three winners of Maa Laxmi Diwali Pooja Bumper- 2012 besides one winner of Punjab State Monthly Lotteries. The Finance Minister handed these demand drafts to the winners of the prize in an impressive ceremony held here in Punjab Bhawan. The demand drafts of Rs. 1 crore each was given by the Minister to Mr. Vijay Kumar Kaushik and Mr. Harbhajan Singh, the winners of Maa Laxmi Diwali Pooja Bumper 2012, while the draft of second prize worth Rs 51 lakh was given to Mr. Vishal Arora. In the same manner Mr. Dhindsa also gave away the draft worth Rs. 51 lakhs to Mr. Karamjit Singh, the winner of Punjab State Monthly Lotteries-December 2012. 

In his address the Minister said that owing to full transparency in the whole process of draws, the Punjab State Lotteries were being trusted across the country. Wished good luck to the winners of these prizes Mr. Dhindsa said that the Lotteries department was working on a number of proposals to introduce new lotteries in the state. He said that efforts were afoot to launch new lottery schemes in the current fiscal year.The Minister was accompanied by the Secretary Expenditure cum Director, Punjab State Lotteries Mr. Jaspal Singh.
