The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has condemned the remarks made by Captain Amarinder Singh-led Congress government's minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa opposing the the decision of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), the apex elected body of Sikhs, for not inviting Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the upcoming centenary events, including the 400th birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Tegh Bahadur. During a press conference held at the party headquarters here on Saturday, senior leader and AAP Punjab co-incharge Raghav Chadha said that Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh was acting like an agent of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and advised the Congress leader to officially join the BJP.He said that today, the entire nation was hating PM Narendra Modi due to the farmers' movement, but the Captain-led Congress government was advocating to invite PM Modi as chief guest for the upcoming centenary events to be organised by SGPC. Chadha said that Captain Amarinder Singh was helpless and it was his duty to keep PM Modi and Union Minister Amit Shah, happy. "Captain is helpless and bound to appease Modi-Shah as he cannot afford to annoy his bosses who hold ED files of his son Raninder Singh.
So, his infatuation for his son is forcing him to bow infront of Modi-Shah," said Chadha. He said that Captain Amarinder was therefore compelled to try to interfere in the affairs of a religious body which is completely independent in its decision making. He said that Captain visited Delhi to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah, but he did not bother to travel a few extra kilometres to meet the struggling farmers. Chadha further said that Captain Amarinder Singh was basically a Modi's agent in Punjab who toe the line sent by his bosses and had proved it time and again during the farmers' struggle. He said that first, Captain called Rahul Gandhi to Punjab and organised a tractor rally in contradiction to a call given by farmers. Then, he sent his MPs to Jantar Mantar to enact a drama of sit-in to divert attention from farmers' movement. Later, he pretended to make a law by convening a special session of the Vidhan Sabha and also appointed 2 IPS officers to engage with the farmer leaders at the protest site, to persuade them to accept the offer of Modi-Shah," he added. The AAP leader said that Captain Amarinder Singh was lying and had done this to mislead the people of Punjab and if there was any sincere concern for the farmers, he would have followed it. "Every child of Punjab hates Captain Amarinder Singh. I am much younger than Captain Saheb, I have much less political experience, but I would still like to give him one piece of unsolicited advice. This is high time and a golden opportunity, join the BJP officially as it has been long that you are working for BJP from behind the curtains. Once you do then every CBI, ED and corruption case against your family members would be buried," said Chadha. He said it had now come to light in the people's court that the Congress chief minister is disguised as the BJP's chief minister.
