The second day of the third edition of the ambitious Back to village program witnessed mega cultural and sports events in several Panchayats of Reasi District.The activities were  held across 49 Panchayats of the District with the aim of energizing the PRIs and directing development efforts in rural areas through community participation and involving the people of the UT and government officials to make a joint effort for equitable development.The designated officers held special gram sabhas  attended by PRI members and local people from all sections of the society. The participants  apprised the visiting officers about daily problems of life including those of water, electricity, roads, Medicare facilities etc.The visiting officers after giving a patient hearing   assured that all the grievances have been noted and the same shall be redressed as early as possible with the intervention of the concerned departments.The officials of different departments including Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries, Handloom, Handicrafts, and Floriculture disseminated the information with respect to the schemes of their departments through stalls put up by them. Special awareness programmes on COVID-19 and Poshan Abhiyan was also held by the officials of the Health and Social welfare departments .
