Block Diwas: ADDC Ganderbal listens to issues of PRIs of block Safapora

With an aim to redress the grievances of people, the weekly block Diwas program was today held at Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat Ganderbal and was presided over by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Ganderbal, Khurshid Ahmad Shah.

The Block Diwas witnessed overwhelming participation of PRI members and locals of block Safapora. Besides, CPO, ACD, DPO and other officers and officials of line departments were also present at the event.During the proceedings of Block Diwas, PRIs raised a number of grievances related to better water and power supply, upgradation of roads, rationalization of staff in schools and other offices and other issues of public importance.

The ADDC gave patient hearing to the issues raised on the occasion and several grievances were redressed on the spot and necessary directions were issued to concerned officers for redressal of the rest on immediate basis.Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC said that the purpose of holding Block Diwas is to have firsthand appraisal about the issues and demands faced by the people and to provide on spot redressal of possible grievances.
