In order to ensure better covid-19 management in 53 hospitals which are currently engaged in the treatment of novel coronavirus affected patients, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori on Wednesday deployed 18 civil officers who would visit and coordinate with these hospitals daily.Chairing a meeting with the Indian Medical Association and civil officers, the deputy commissioner said that as covid-19 cases have been witnessing a spike in the district, there is need to ensure quality healthcare services to the citizens including round the clock availability of oxygen, ventilators, manpower for the operating ventilator, ambulances, staff and other basic requirements.He said that to address such kinds of issues, these 18 civil officers will regularly visit these hospitals and work as a bridge between the district administration and the hospital managements adding every official will oversee three hospitals.He said that SDO PWD Tarun Kumar will inspect IMA Shahkot, Gulab Devi Hospital, Kidney Hospital, District Social Welfare officer will check Armaan Hospital, Shrimann City Centre Hosptial, Rattan Hosptial, Divisional Social Officer will visit Nobel Hosptial, Joshi Hosptial, Sarvodya Hosptial, Executive Engineer Jaswant Singh to take stock in Capitol, PIMS and Patel, District Town Planner Naval Kishore will go Sacred Hearts, Johal Hospital and NHS Hospital, Deputy Director Animal Husbandry to examine personally Innocent Hearts Hospital, Shrimann Super Speciality, Mann Medicity, District Welfare Officer Rajinder Singh to visit Cardinova Hosptial, NHS Isolation Facility and Lajwanti, District Sports Officer Gurpreet Singh will go to Doaba Hospital, Kamal Hospital and Rayan Hospital, SDO PSPCL Gopal Krishan will visit Nobel Mission Hosptial, Astha Neuro Hosptial, Makkar Hospital, SDO PWD Prem Kamal will check Central Hospital Akem Hospital and Vassal Hospital.Deputy Commissioner said that District Social Security Officer will examine Handa Hospital, Nipun Nanda Hospital, Goodwill Hosptial, Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies Navneet Basra to visit Randhawa Hospital, Sareen Hospital, New Life Hosptial, DEO Elementary Ram Pal to inspect Ohri Hospital, Chawla Hospital, SGL Hospital, SDO Irrigation Amit to check Trinity Hospital, Sukhman Hospital, Sigma Hospital, SDO Mandi Board Baldev Raj will examine AIIMS Sanjvani Hospital, Caremax Hospital, Karan Hospital, Executive Engineer Pollution Board Kuldeep Singh to visit Global Hospital, Sikka Hospital, Ghai Hospital, Executive Engineer Sukhdeep Singh will go Ranjit Hospital, Civil Hospital and CHC Dada Colony and State Patwar Principal Pinky Devi will inspect CHC Basti Guzan and CHC Khurla Kingra.Deputy Commissioner said that these officers will make an elaborate mechanism to ensure these hospitals do not face any kind of shortage in terms of oxygen, ventilators, ambulances, staff or and others.Thori also solicited fulsome support of IMA in the deal the situation effectively without any creating panic among the people.On the occasion, ADC (G) Jasbir Singh, Assistant Commissioner (G) Hardeep Singh, DMC Dr Jyoti Sharma, IMA State President Navjot Dahiya and others were present.
