Punjab Social Welfare and Minorities Minister Sadhu Singh Dharmsot has stated that while state government is committed to ensure constructive future for SC students, it is also serious to find lasting resolution to all issues concerning them.Chairing the meeting with Joint Action Committee delegation which called on him here at Secretariat today, Mr. Dharamsot assured them to resolve all genuine demands raised by them at the earliest. Private colleges are providing basic infrastructure for imparting education to SC students, he underlined adding it was imperative to find lasting solution to all their issues.Punjab Government is regularly in touch with centre to ensure unrestricted and timely disbursal of Post-Matric Scholarship arrears. He also said he would soon request the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh ji regarding this and other related issues to be taken up with centre. He also assured of a tangible decision soon to ensure no student faces any difficulty in admission to government and private colleges under any course.Prominent amongst those present during the meeting included Additional Chief Secretary, Social Justice, Empowerment & Minorities Mr. Kirpa Shankar Saroj, Director Mr. Davinder Singh. The delegation was represented by president Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) Dr. Anshu Kataria, Mr. Charanjit Singh Walia, Dr. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal, Mr. Jagjit Singh, Mr. Rajinder Singh Danoya, Mr. Nirmal Singh, Mr. Jasnik Singh, Mr. Shimanshu Gupta, S. Sukhmander Singh Chatha.
