Superintendent of Police and renowned International Hockey player Sarabjit Singh Bahia today envisioned that Sporting activity could help in developing the strong immunity of a person thereby helping in keeping the Corona Virus pandemic at bay.The veteran Hockey player, who was felicitated by the Sports department today on the occasion of International World Olympic day in a simple but impressive event organized under the aegis of the ‘Mission Fateh’ launched by the Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, said that Sporting activity, with proper precautions, could help in keeping an individual healthy and mentally sound. He said that the Punjab Government was committed to give major boost to the sports in the state for which state of the art sports infrastructure has been developed in the state. Mr. Bahia said that the state government has made strenuous efforts to promote sporting activity in the state.The Superintendent of Police further said that sports help the youths to develop a team the spirit which could help them to excel in their lives. He said that this same spirit could be used for combating the Covid 19 virus effectively adding that all of us must make concerted efforts for making the mission, which was brainchild of Chief Minister to ensure resurgence of state from Corona a grand success.
