Four Militants Including JEM Commander belongs to Pakistan were killed In two separate gun fights from last 24 hours in Kashmir.Police said, Three Militants were killed in gunfight at  Zadibal area of Srinagar while one foreign Militant belongs to Pakistan was killed in South Kashmir's ladakpora Kulgam.Based on Specific input generated by Police a Corden and search Operation was launched in Zadibal area of Srinagar by Combined forces of Crpf (central Reserve police force ) and  Jammu and Kashmir Police.The Militants were persuaded for surrender through family members and Community members instead surrender the fired upon forces indiscriminately which was retaliated by forces leading to an Encounter, Police said.An official said, in this encounter Three dead bodies were retrieved from site were identified as Shakoor Farooq Langoo of Bharthana Srinagar and Shahid Ahmad Bhat of Semthan Bijbehara. The identification of the other killed militant is yet to be ascertained. All the militants were affiliated with proscribed militant outfit HM/ ISJK.According to Police records Shakoor Farooq Langoo was involved in the killing of two BSF personnel at Soura a road Snatched rifle from killed said personal was also recovered today at gunfight site.Arms and Ammunition were recovered from site and again forces show utmost restrain thereby and ensured a clean Operation with no collateral damage.

Kulgam Gunfight

Similarly in Second gunfight which breaks out yesterday in likhdipora village of South Kashmir's Kulgam district where one Militant was killed.The Militant has been identified as, Tayab Waleed urf  Imran Bhai  urf Gazi Baba, a Pakistani national affiliated with proscribed Militant outfit JeM.He was JeM Operational Commander as and was an expert in making IEDs besides being a sharp shooter. Police said,Arms and ammunition were also recovered in this Operation including one AK rifle, one M-4 Carbine, a Pistol and other incriminating material from the site of encounter.Police said, Due to Covid 19 The dead bodies of the killed Militants have been sent to Baramullah and Handwara for their burial and last rites after completion of medico-legal formalities and familiy members of killed Militants shall also participate in their last rites at Burial places.

Four militants including a Pakistani national were killed in two separate encounters at Srinagar and Kulgam during past 24 hours.On a specific input generated by Police regarding presence of Militants in Zadibal area of district Srinagar, a joint cordon and search operation was launched by Police and CRPF in the said area.During the search operation, the hiding terrorists were repeatedly appealed to surrender through family members & community members of the area but instead they started firing indiscriminately upon search party, which was retaliated leading to an encounter.In the ensuing encounter, three militants were killed and their bodies were retrieved from the site of encounter.

They have been identified as Shakoor Farooq Langoo of Bharthana Srinagar and Shahid Ahmad Bhat of Semthan Bijbehara. The identification of the other killed militants is yet to be ascertained. All the killed militants were affiliated with proscribed terror outfit HM/ ISJK.As per police records, one of the killed terrorist namely Shakoor Farooq Lango was involved in the killing of two BSF personnel at 90ft road Soura on 20/05/2020 and the snatched AK rifle belonging to the killed BSF Jawan was recovered from the site of encounter.Yet again Police and SFs showed patience and exercised utmost restraint, thereby ensured a clean operation with no collateral damage in an otherwise highly congested and densely populated area of city Srinagar.

Incriminating material including arms and ammunition were recovered from the site of encounter. All the recovered materials have been taken into case records for further investigation and to probe their complicity in other terror crimes.Pertinent to mention that in an operation which was launched yesterday evening at village Likhdipora of district Kulgam, one militant was killed. The killed militant was identified as Tayab Waleed @ Imran Bhai @ Gazi Baba, a Pakistani national affiliated with proscribed terror outfit JeM.According to police records he was operational commander of JeM and was an expert in making IEDs besides being a sharp shooter. Arms and ammunition including one AK rifle, one M-4 Carbine, a Pistol and other incriminating material was recovered from the site of encounter.Regarding the said encounters, cases under relevant sections of laws stands registered in concerned police stations and investigation has been initiated.Keeping in view the prevailing pandemic due to COVID-19 and to ensure the safety of people from inherent risk of contracting the infection, the dead bodies of the killed terrorists have been sent to Handwara & Baramulla for their burial & last rites after completion of medico-legal formalities. The nearest family members of the killed terrorists shall also participate in their last rites at Handwara and Baramulla.IGP Kashmir has appreciated the teams of Police and CRPF for conducting a clean and successful operation in a very congested and densely populated area of Srinagar with no collateral damage.People are requested to be away from the encounter sites till the areas are sanitised and cleared from explosive materials, if any.
