Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Ghanshyam Thori today called upon the staff of the District Administrative Complex to accord top priority to the works of general public coming to the offices for their routine administrative works.During a meeting with the staff of the complex here today, the Deputy Commissioner said that daily a large number of people visit the complex for getting their works done. He said that these people come with lot of hope to the offices and there works must be accorded top priority. Mr. Thori said that this would help in giving a healing touch to the people besides ensuring that their work was done in a time bound manner.The Deputy Commissioner asked the staff to ensure that there was no file or matter was pending in the offices for long. Mr. Thori said that he would review the pending works in the district office on regular interval and adequate action would be taken against those who were found guilty of unnecessary delay in work. He said that people must be given reprieve by ensuring that their work was done in minimum time.Deputy Commissioner said that the staff must ensure that the citizens were accorded proper respect and dignity in the government offices. He said that public work must be given top priority so that they do not face any problem in getting their works done in the offices. Mr. Thori said that the district administration was duty-bound for ensuring that the work of public was done at the earliest so that they do not face any problem. On the occasion Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Jasbir Singh, Assistant Commissioners Mr. Harpreet Singh and Mr. Hardeep Singh, Superintendent Mr. Anil Kumar Kala and others were also present.
