District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat today chaired a meeting of officers to review implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM).The Superintending Engineer (SE), apprised the DDC, about the progress achieved so far under the mission through a presentation.He informed that door to door survey by panchayat representatives and officials have been completely in all 11 blocks, moreover data related to all the habitations and households has been updated on the new website set up by the Government of India, Ministry of Jal Shakti.It was informed that out of 59898 households 37811 households are without tap water connections in 279 villages of 11 blocks of the district.The DDC directed the SE to submit the Village Action Plan within five days.Later the DDC reviewed progress of various languishing projects of PHE department and directed the concerned to finish works within the stipulated time.The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Superintending Engineer Hydraulic Circle Anantnag and Kulgam, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Assistant Commissioner Development, Joint Director Planning, Executive Engineer PHE Division Kulgam, Qazigund besides other officers.
