Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Kupwara, Mohammad Ashraf Bhat, today, chaired a meeting of Bloc Development Council (BDC) Chairpersons and reviewed the developmental activities resumed in the district under Rural Development Sector amid COVID-19 pandemic.On the occasion, the District Panchayat Officer (DPO) through a detailed powerpoint presentation highlighted physical and financial status of various undergoing developmental works in the district.Meanwhile, the BDC chairpersons apprised the chair about various issues being faced by them in delivering governance at doorsteps of the people. The issues they raised include pending payments of works under various developmental schemes like NREGA and 14th F.C.The ADDC assured them about resolution of their genuine demands. He directed the concerned officers to look into the issues of these public representatives and provide concrete solution on fast-track basis. He impressed upon the concerned to release pending liabilities under various schemes to the concerned beneficiaries.The ADDC also directed BDC chairpersons to provide awareness among people for wearing masks and keeping social distance during execution of works.Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), District Panchayat Officer (DPO), BDC Chairmen, Sarpanchs and other concerned were present in the meeting.
