The Food and Civil Supplies Department under the guidance of the Food and Civil Supplies Minister Mr. Bharat Bhushan Ashu, is dedicatedly approaching the task to provide the benefits entailed under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojna’ toall the beneficiaries registered under the National Food Security Act, 2013.Disclosing this here today, the DC Girish Dayalan said that as per the scheme, the registered beneficiaries are being provided with 5 Kg of wheat per member per month for 3 months and 1 Kg of Dal per family per month (3 months lumsum) absolutely free of cost. He said that regular monitoring of the entre process was being conducted through the various agencies so that proper distribution of ration takes place.He said that qualitative and quantitative check on depot holders was ensured with zero tolerance towards any malpractice. Not only this, but the Food and Civil Supplies teams are ensuring the compliancewith the social distancing norms while undertaking the distribution besides exhorting the common people to wear masks and exercise all precautions. He said that the teams formulated by the administration to complete this gigantic exercise in a foolproof manner are producing desired results and soon allsmart card holders would be covered .Today, the distribution work was undertaken in Villages Dyalpura, Bhabat, Nagla,Devinagar, Derabassi (Urban), Amlala, Trivedi Camp, Lalru Urban, Tohfapur, Khajaur Mandi, Anganpur in Derabassi Block, Villages Tanda, Mudho Sangtian, Goslan, Fatehgarh Dusarna, Mundi Kharar, Khizrabad in Kharar Block, Balongi, Manauli Surat, Makkran, Patran, Chudiala, Bairampur, and Shampur Manauli in Mohali Block and approximately 4000 smart ration card holders were given the ration.
