Punjab Mandi Board Starts Special Health Camp In Maqsudan Vegetable And Fruits Market

The Punjab Mandi Board in association with the district health department on Wednesday started a special camp in the Maqsudan Vegetable and Fruits Market for testing of Coronavirus.The camp was started in the presence of District Mandi Officer (DMO) Mr Davinder Singh Kainth, Dr Harish Bhardwaj from the health department and others. Addressing the gathering, DMO Mr Davinder Singh Kainth and Dr Harish Bhardwaj said that the camp was held on the directions of Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh to carry out the random testing of the samples for Coronavirus.They said that this special camp at the Mandi was of immense importance as hundreds of quintal of vegetables and fruits were supplied to residents of the city daily. They told that this camp would continue in coming days too for ensuring that the spread of Corona Virus was checked at Mandi.The commission agents, their staff, vendors and others were exhorted for the testing during the camp by the officials.On the occasion, SDO Mr Baldev Raj, Mandi Board official Mr Kewal Singh, Mr Inderjeet Singh, Mr Rashpal Singh Babbu and others were present.
