To provide relief to the labourers who have been stranded due to lockdown, District administration Kishtwar headed by the District Magistrate Kishtwar Rajinder Singh Tara today  kick started the process of medical screening for COVID-19 symptoms of all those persons who are presently stuck in the district and who want to return to their home States  outside of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.In order to facilitate the smooth dispatch of the returnees to their native states through the shramik trains arranged by the  Government, the district administration Kishtwar has already started the registration process and now process of the medical screening of returnees for COVID-19 symptoms has  been initiated since yesterday.At its first instance, a number of 37 labourers hailing from Chhattisgarh who are presently stuck at various places of Kishtwar are scheduled to be  dispatched to their home state on  May 21, 2020 after proper medical examination.On the direction of DM Kishtwar, a team of medical doctors has been deputed by Chief Medical  Officer Kishtwar R S Manhas here  at office of the District Information Centre Kishtwar for preliminary screening of all the registered persons, briefed Assistant Labour  Commissioner Kishtwar Anoop Kumar.DM Kishtwar has asked ALC Kishtwar who  is facilitating the process of dispatching the returnees, to ensure that no labourer desirous of  returning back to their home state is left out.Besides, he directed to provide the breakfast, packed lunch and water to passengers on the day of travel and also to arrange for the  transport upto Katra railway station without any failure, where from they have to travel by the Government run trains upto their destinations.
