The Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma and Commissioner of Police Mr Gurpreet Singh Bhullar on Wednesday exhorted the people to be responsible citizen of the county by staying inside their homes in the prevailing conditions due to Covid-19.During the flag march in the city today, the Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police said that as Jalandhar has been declared a hotspot by the government and now it must be our first and last duty just to stay inside the homes at presently for national interest and help the government and administration in its fight to combat the Covid-19.The Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police said that the curfew has been already imposed strictly in the district for saving the precious lives of people adding that in case movement was allowed with authorized passes it must be practiced with ‘social distancing’.However, they said that more than curfew self-restriction by people could do wonders in effectively combating Corona Virus. Both the officers said that it was need of the hour to ensure that people remain safe and healthy.The Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police led flag march by the security forces from BMC Chowk, Namdev  Chowk, Company Bagh Chowk, Jyoti Chowk, Basti Adda Chowk, Jail road, Workshop  Chowk, Kapurthala Chowk, Football Chowk, Dr BR Ambedkar Chowk, Guru Nanak Mission Chowk, Jawahar Nagar market and others.Prominent among present occasion include ADC(G)Mr Jasbir Singh And other.
