Combating COVID-19: DC Baramulla Kick-starts Distribution of free Immunity Boosting AYUSH medicines

To scale up the anti-Corona activities, Deputy Commissioner(DC), Baramulla, Dr. G N Itoo, today kick-started free distribution of immunity boosting AYUSH medicines and   distributed medicines worth Rs 75,000 among 153 beneficiaries of Old Town Baramulla. The medicines were procured by Indian System of Medicine (ISM) unit   Baramulla.President Municipal Council, Baramulla, Umar Kakroo, ADMO, ISM unit Baramulla, Reyaz Ahmad, BMO, Sheeri, Farooq Ahmad and other concerned were present on   the occasion.The DC said that such medicines will be distributed among the people of the district in successive phases to strengthen their immune system. He added that such   medicines have no side effects and are safe to use to build up strong resistance against the Corona virus.He further said that Corona virus has little effect on persons having   strong immunity and urged people to adopt such practices which help in strengthening the immunity.Meanwhile, the people of Old Town appreciated the efforts of the district   administrations and ISM, being to contain the virus.  Later, the DC inspected Urban Primary Health Centre at Old Town and took stock of various health facilities, being provided   to the patients. He directed the concerned authorities to provide health services to the people keeping in view all the prescribed norms and regulations with respect to Corona   virus outbreak.
