In a unique initiative, the Jalandhar Administration today felicitated 150 sanitary workers for rendering marvellous service to humanity by cleaning the city during the ongoing curfew in wake of Covid 19 Epidemic.The Sub Divisional Magistrate Nakodar Mr Amit Kumar Panchal today honoured around 150 Sanitary workers who were performing their duty zealously. Led by Sub Divisional Magistrate the administrative officers felicitated the sanitary workers in the main market and expressed their gratitude towards them for rendering marvellous service to people. Mr Panchal said that it was a testing time  and such commitment towards society and its people was expected from every individual.However, the Sub Divisional Magistrate said that Sanitary Workers have displayed exemplary commitment for work which was unparalleled. Mr Panchal said that entire society in general and he himself in particular was indebted to 'soldiers of cleanliness' for this noble cause. He also said that the masks, sanitisers and other logistics required by sanitary workers for this noble cause were already being distributed to them.The Sub Divisional Magistrate said that the society could never repay the valuable service being rendered by these brave-hearts. He ensured the sanitary workers that the administration would safeguard their interests at every cost. Mr Panchal also lauded the exemplary work being done by all the other government departments in the Sub Division.
