Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that  during the  first phase of his winter sojourn to Kangra district he had dedicated and laid foundation stones of developmental projects worth Rs. 165 crore in three assembly segments of Kangra district.  Chief Minister was addressing a public meeting at Surajpur in Indora Vidhan Sabha area of Kangra district today.Chief Minister said that today he had provided sops of developmental projects worth Rs. 65 crore to the people in Indora assembly constituency alone.  He said that foundation stones and dedication of developmental projects of Rs 50 crore each had been done in Baijnath and Kangra Vidhan Sabha area earlier. He said that this was a befitting reply to those who were unnecessarily making baseless allegations to mislead the people but the people of the State were wise enough to judge that who were the real benefactors of them. Jai Ram Thakur said that the present State Government was according topmost priority for development of Kangra district as it was the biggest district of the State. He said that the State Government had not only celebrated the function to commemorate one year tenure of the State Government at Dharamshala, but also organised first Global Investors Meet at Dharamshala in Kangra district. He said that both these mega events were graced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.Chief Minister said that the opposition leaders were even questioning the Global Investor Meet organised by the State Government. He reminded the Congress leaders that they also travelled throughout the country to attract investments, but failed miserably to persuade the entrepreneurs to invest Himachal Pradesh. He said that the present State Government has succeeded in signing of MoUs worth about Rs. 96000 crore. He said that not only this groundbreaking ceremony was performed on completion of two years tenure of the State Government in which ground breaking of projects worth Rs 13,400 crore was performed.

Jai Ram Thakur said that the tenure of present State Government has been dedicated to good governance, innovations in various sectors and public services. He said that due to the effective implementation of these schemes, there has been a major change in the lives of the people of the State. He said that winning of all the four seats in the Lok Sabha elections and assembly by-elections to Dharamshala and Pachhad constituencies by a record margin had proved that the people of the State have given their full support to the policies and programmes of the present State Government.Chief Minister said that the Jan Manch Programme of the State has proved boon to the people of the State for redressal of their grievances. He said that in addition to this, Chief Minister Helpline 1100 has also been launched where any person can register his complaints and grievances through their phones. He said that the State Government has launched Him Care Scheme to cover the 22 lakh people which were not covered under Ayushman Bharat Scheme of Central Government. He said that the State Government has also launched Sahara Yojna to provide financial assistance of Rs. 2000 per month to the family of those with seriously ill patients. He said that Grihini Suvidha Yojna was also launched to cover all the families not covered under Ujjawala Yojna. He said that the State Government has succeeded to make Himachal Pradesh the first State of the country as a smoke free state.While paying rich tributes to the Pulwama victims, Chief Minister said that the strong leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a befitting reply to the nefarious designs of Pakistan by destroying the terrorists training camps in Pakistan by Surgical strikes. He said that abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu Kashmir was possible due to strong leadership of Narendra Modi. Chief Minister announced Rs 2 crore each for setting up of Cow Sanctuaries in Palampur, Jawalamukhi, Jaisinghpur and Jawali Vidhan Sabha areas of Kangra district. He also announced upgradation of CHC Gangth to Civil Hospital, Health Sub Center Tewara to Primary Health Centre. He said that science classes would be started in Government. Senior Secondary School Bhari-Kandori. He said that M.Sc. classes in Degree College Indora would also be started.

Chief Minister announced Rs. 1.50 crore for construction of various roads in the area.Jai Ram Thakur laid foundation stone at Plahghat of Jassur-Gangath-Indora road to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 4.52 crore. This 20 kilometer road would benefit thousands of people of 15 villages of the area. He also laid foundation stone of Multi Villages Water Supply Scheme at Sarswati Vidya Mandir School, Indpur which would be completed by spending Rs. 34.82 crore and would provide drinking water facility to 80 villages of Indora area.He also laid foundation stone of Mini Secretariat at Indora to be completed by spending Rs. 12.82 crore. He also laid foundation stone of 19 kilometer long Indorian to Mand Miani-Paral road to be completed by spending Rs. 12.63 crore. Chief Minister laid foundation stone of upgradation of Gausadan at Bain Attarian at a cost of Rs. 70 lakh. He also visited the Badrivishal Temple at Bain Attarian and performed Puja there.Jai Ram Thakur was accorded rousing welcome en route from Nurpur to Indora with hundreds of people standing alongside the road showering floral petals on their beloved leader.Local MLA Reeta Dhiman thanked the Chief Minister for accelerating the pace of development in her assembly segment by sanctioning various projects worth crores of rupees in the area.BJP Mandal President Balwan welcomed the Chief Minister and other dignitaries present on the occasion.Urban Development Minister Sarveen Chaudhary, Health Minister Vipin Singh Parmar, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Virender Kanwar, Industries Minister Bikram Singh Thakur, MLAs Rajesh Thakur, Arun Kumar, Ravinder Dhiman, Former MLA Manohar Dhiman, Deputy Commissioner Kangra Rakesh Prajapati, SP Vimukt Ranjan were present on the occasion among  others.
