The District Information Centre Udhampur today organized inter school symposium contest on the topic “Jal hi Jeevan Hai” in the premises of Government Higher Secondary School Krimachi.District Information Officer Udhampur Er. Sajad Bashir Somberia was the Chief Guest, while Principal of the host school Sarita Gupta presided over the function.As many as 10 participants drawn from three different schools participated in the symposium contest and expressed their views on the vital issue.Ayushi Thakur of Government Higher Secondary School Krimachi was declared best speaker, while Razaq Choudhary of class 11th and Sunil Singh of Indira Priya Darshni High School secured second and third positions, respectively. Besides, Nahida Bibi of Government Middle School Krimachi and Sona Bandral of Government Higher Secondary School Krimachi bagged consolation prizes.While addressing the students, the chief guest said that the aim of the programme is to create awareness among the students regarding conservation and judicious use of water.  Principal of the school presented vote of thanks and appreciated the efforts of Information Department for creating awareness among the students.    Lecturer Upkar Singh conducted the proceeding of the function.Officials of Information department besides Staff members and students of the schools were also present on the occasion.
