The Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Varinder Kumar Sharma today felicitated philanthropist Baba Kashmira Singh ji for rendering marvelous service to the residents of district in relief operations carried out in the aftermath of floods.The Deputy Commissioner, accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Jasbir Singh, called on Baba Kashmira Singh ji and handed over a certificate of appreciation to him. Mr. Sharma recalled the stupendous services rendered by followers of Baba Kashmira Singh ji in plugging the breaches on the banks of Satluj river at the crucial time. He said that the followers of Baba Kashmira Singh ji extended fulsome support and cooperation to the district administration in accomplishing this herculean task adding that the administration and residents of the district would ever remain indebted to them.The Deputy Commissioner said despite of the vagaries of weather and hostile circumstances the followers of Baba ji played a key role in plugging the breaches thereby playing a major role in giving relief to the people. He also lauded the services rendered by Baba ji for imparting quality health services to the people through the SGL Hospitals. Mr. Sharma said that the certification of appreciation was a humble recognition of the selfless services rendered by Baba ji to the humanity.

On the occasion, Mr. Sartaj Singh and others were also present.
