District Development Commissioner, Kulgam Showkat Aijaz Bhat, today convened a meeting of officers to review functioning and achievement registered under agriculture, horticulture, fisheries and allied sectors in the district.The meeting was attended by ADDC, ADC, JD-Planning, CHO, CAO, CAHO, AD fisheries and other concerned officers.The meeting was informed that under PM-KISAN Rupees 16.61 crore were disbursed among 41524 beneficiaries through DBT.It was given out that 1.57 lakh sheep population produced 2.94 lakh kilo grams of wool and 23 thousand kilo grams of Cocoon produce generated a revenue of Rupees 65 lakh during current financial year.Besides, 19 tons of fish produce generated revenue 1 crore and 40 fish units have been stocked with One lakh Rainbow Trout seed in the district,The milk production crossed 162 thousand tons and 13 million eggs were produced in the district.The DDC also reviewed the achievements under made Capex and CSS. He urged the people to adopt latest techniques for better crop productivity.
