A delegation of Federation of Registered Travel Associations of Jammu called on Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu at the Raj Bhavan here today and submitted a memorandum of demands.The delegation led by its General Secretary, Sh. Raminder K Sanhotra apprised the Lt Governor about the issues and demands pertaining to promotion of tourism sector in Jammu region including promotion of Cultural Heritage Tourism through cultural festivals, developing facilities for tourists and inviting suggestions from stakeholders for the tourism promotional activities.The Lt Governor interacted with the members of the delegation and observed that the Government has initiated various steps for development of Tourism sector in J&K.Meanwhile, a delegation of J&K ITI Employees United Front Jammu headed by its President Sh. Nazir Ahmed Molvi today called on Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu and apprised him about the issues related to the welfare of ITI employees including filling up of the promotional categories vacancies, convening of meeting of DPCs on regular basis etc.The Lt Governor while interacting with the members of the delegation assured them to review the issues put forth by them for their early redressal.
