The incumbent president of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) for J&K Ravinder Raina was on re-elected as the party chief for J&K UT for next three years.The announcement about Raina being re-elected as the party chief was made by senior BJP leaders Dr Harshwardhan and Tarun Chug in a function at Jammu.  Raina was nominated as party president in the erstwhile state in May 2018.Koul said that Raina is a best bet to make party more vibrant across J&K. “The party high command has reposed trust in him and we are quite hopeful that he will fulfil party’s agenda for peace,” said Koul.Speaking on the occasion, Raina said that he was thankful to the party leadership for reposing trust in him again. “I will work hard to make BJP more vibrant in J&K UT and explain my party’s agenda for peace, prosperity and progress in every district of the J&K UT,” he said after being garlanded by the party workers as per the wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).About the elections for district chiefs in J&K UT, Koul said that the polls of districts got delayed for some reasons and now will be completed by January end. “We will be roping in young and new faces for the party in districts,” he said.  The party will have a new chief for Ladakh UT and the exercise will be completed by January end.
