While presiding over the afternoon session of the meeting of MLAs of Chamba, Una, Hamirpur and Lahaul and Spiti districts on the second day to fix the priorities of annual plan for the financial year 2020-21 here today, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that the State Government has taken several initiatives which have made big impact on the lives of the people of the State. He said that Jan Manch and Mukhyamantri Sewa Sankalp 1100 had ensured speedy redressal of public grievances nearer to their homes. Chief Minister said that the Grihini Suvidha Yojna has ensured that every household of the State has the facility of gas connection thereby making the Himachal Pradesh the first State of the country with a smoke-free kitchen. He said that the State Government had succeeded in organization of first ever Global Investors Meet at Dharamshala on 7th and 8th November, 2019 in which 703 MoUs of investment worth Rs. 96721 crore have been signed  with prospective entrepreneurs, out of which  ‘ground breaking ceremony’  of 240 projects worth Rs 13,656 crore was performed on 27th  December, 2019.  He said that this showed the seriousness of the State Government to make Himachal Pradesh a favourite destination for investment. He said that it would provide employment and self-employment opportunities to the youth of the State, besides generating revenue worth crores of Rupees to State exchequer.Agriculture Minister Dr. Ram Lal Markanda, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Virender Kanwar and Deputy Speaker HP Vidhan Sabha Hans Raj gave their valuable suggestions on the occasion. 

Chamba District:

MLA Bharmour Jia Lal Kapoor said that efforts should be made to improve power supply in the constituency. He said that sewerage line and drinking water facilities should be strengthened in Killar area. He urged for more chopper flights for Killar and Pangi for convenience of the people in general and for patients in particular. He also urged for improving link roads in the area. He also urged to take up the matter with Union Government to include Chamba-Pangi-Killar road under Bharat Mala project.MLA Chamba Pawan Nayyar urged for including  few roads in his area under PMGSY-III. He said that work of construction of Chamba Medical College building must be taken in hand soon so that it could be completed within stipulated time period. MLA Bhattiyat Bikram Singh Jaryal urged for setting up of PWD and IPH Divisions at Bhattiyat to facilitate the people of the constituency. He said that Police Post Sihunta be upgraded to Police Station. He also urged to strengthen and upgrade 50 bedded Civil Hospital Chowari to hundred bedded. He also requested to upgrade few health institutions of the area. 

Una District:

MLA Chintpurni Balbir Singh said that Chintpurni temple should be developed as adequate funds were available under ‘Prasadam’ Yojna of the Union Government. He said that announcement has been made for upgradation of Amb as Nagar Parishad and it should be implemented soon. He said that the income limit for getting land for construction  of house be increased for existing Rs 50,000 to Rs one lakh so that more poor people could be benefitted.MLA Gagret Rajesh Thakur urged for developing and beautification of Shiv Bari temple in the area. He said that separate ground be constructed for Daulatpur College. He also urged for speedy preparation of DPRs of various developmental works in the area.MLA Haroli and Leader of Opposition Mukesh Agnihotri said that effective steps should be taken to avoid un-necessary delay in preparation of DPRs of various projects in his area. He also expressed concern over illegal mining in the area, besides increasing incidences of drug peddling. He also urged for ensuring early completion of tube-wells in his constituency. He felt the need to increase MLA Fund from Rs 1.50 crore to Rs 2 crore.  MLA Una Satpal Raizada urged for construction of emergency ward in the Una Hospital. He said that the district hospital Una needed to be strengthened with adequate staff and doctors. He also urged to solve the traffic problem of Una town by constructing ring road in the city. He said that work of sewerage projects must be expedited in the constituency to facilitate the people of the area.  

Hamirpur District:

MLA Bhoranj Kamlesh Kumari urged for providing medical specialists in the Bhoranj Hospital. She said that more bus services be provided in the area for facilitating the people of the area. She said that a Fire Station be opened at Bhoranj and also requested for timely preparation of DPRs of roads under NABARD in her constituency. She urged for providing adequate water supply in the constituency.MLA Sujanpur Rajinder Rana said Town Hall at Sujanpur must be constructed at the earliest. He said that stress should be laid on strengthening of Sujanpur hospital by posting specialist doctors there. He also urged for construction of Lok Bhawan in his constituency. He said that the condition of the roads in his area must be improved as the roads were the lifelines of the State. He also urged for construction of Mini Secretariat at Sujanpur.MLA Hamirpur Narender Thakur urged to increase diet money of the students from Rs 50 to Rs. 100. He also urged for early construction of Medical College building Hamirpur. He also urged for providing adequate funds for roads in the area.MLA Barsar Inder Dutt Lakhanpal said that Bus Stand be constructed at Mehre at the earliest to facilitate the people of the area. He also requested for construction of ropeway from Shahtalai to Deothsidh. He also requested for development of industrial area in his constituency. He also requested to ply Dhaneta Shimla bus service at the earliest. He also urged for establishing permanent Police posts in his area. He also urged to strengthen Civil Hospital and Degree College Barsar.MLA Nadaun Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu urged to hold a pre-planning meeting before main planning meeting so that the better outcome of the meeting could be ensured. He said that work on setting up of Spice Park at Nadaun, must be expedited. He said that cold store facilities be provided in the area so that farmers could get remunerative prices of their produce. Chief Secretary Anil Kumar Khachi thanked the MLAs for their valuable suggestions which would go a long way in framing development oriented plan for the State.Principal Secretary Finance Prabodh Saxena welcomed the Chief Minister and other dignitaries on the occasion and conducted the proceedings of the meeting.Additional Chief Secretaries Ram Subhag Singh, Nisha Singh, Manoj Kumar and R.D. Dhiman, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries and Heads of Departments also attended the meeting.
