Director Agriculture, Kashmir, Syed Altaf Aijaz Andrabi today convened a meeting, to review the progress under Central Sponsored Schemes and Capex Budget 2019-20.He said that the farmers should be offered handholding for adopting progressive agriculture plan required for doubling farm income in time bound manner.Director said that to transform the sector various schemes are being implemented which have potential and relevance in promoting exotic vegetable cultivation.He directed for sowing the seeds in poly green houses for ensuring early transplantation in the fields. He directed the officers for ensuring honest outreach for registering meaningful transformation in agriculture sector.

While deliberating on various issues, Director Agriculture impressed upon the officers to visit the fields and advise farmers with regard to modification in the agriculture practices.The meeting was attended by, Joint Director Agriculture Inputs Deepak Kumar Kuchroo, Joint Director Engineering, Project Coordinator Mushrooms, Chief Agriculture Officers, Divisional Heads and Sub Divisional Agriculture Officers of the of Kashmir Division.
