District Development Commissioner (DDC)PulwamaDrRaghav Langer helds an interactive meeting with cement factory unit holders today at KhrewPampore.The meeting was attended by District Manager,District Industries Centre, District Mineral Officer,Officers of Line departments and representatives of cement factory unit holders.During a meeting, representatives of cement factory unit holders Khrew apprised the DDC about various issues faced by them including implementation of Government sponsored schemes, rectification of unscheduled and irregular electricity, improvement of roads to industrial estates,clearance of subsidy cases, mechanism for mining of clay and other necessary components and rehabilitation programme for cement unit holders.Speaking on the occasion, DDC said industrial estates in the district have a great role in boosting the economic activity of the district and are playing vital role in creating an atmosphere of entrepreneurship and investment.He assured unit holders that administration is committed to resolve all there genuine issues.DDC urged upon the officers of District Industries Centre Pulwama and other line departments to act as beacons in the Ease of Doing Business. He also directed DMO Pulwama to carry out a survey and identify the nearest possible spot for clay extraction from where unit holders can easily get requisite material through proper channel.On the occasion, Chief General Manager TCI cements presented a cheque of one lakh rupees to DDC for the construction of prefabricate dining hall cum kitchen for JNV School Nawnagri.
