District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Hashmat Ali Khan today took an extensive tour of district Ganderbal and inspected several projects under execution by the R&B in the district.During the visit, the DDC was accompanied by ADDC Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal, ADC Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Baba, Executive Engineer R&B and other concerned officials.The DDC inspected under construction building of Dak Bungalow Fatehpora Ganderbal, construction of 3x26 Mtr. span truss type bridge over Nallah Sindh at Bamloora Ganderbal, construction of 1x20 Mtr. Span single lane plate Girder Bridge including development of road approaches at Bal Sathu on Tulmulla-Wakoora road and construction of NTPHC Shallabugh.While visiting the Dak Bungalow Fatehpora, the Executive Engineer informed that 65% physical work is completed on the project besides minor works like finishing, plastering and development of lawns is in progress.Similarly, while visiting construction site of NTPHC Shallabugh which is being constructed at a cost of Rs 2.94 crore, the Executive Engineer informed the DDC that 35% physical work is completed so far.

The DDC urged the Executive Engineer to expedite the pace of progress on these vital projects so that they get completed within stipulated time frame without compromising the quality.While visiting the bridge over Nallah Sindh at Bamloora, the DDC was informed that the 3x26 meter long span truss type Bridge is constructed at a cost of Rs 5.96 crore out of which Rs 1.73 crore is expended so far besides Rs 3.94 crore is approved under Languishing Projects scheme.Similarly single span lane plate Girder Bridge including development of road approaches at Bal Sathu on Tulmulla-Wakoora road is being constructed at a cost of Rs 2.50 crore out of which Rs 97.73 lakh have been released so far besides Rs 1.41 crore is approved under Languishing Projects scheme. The Executive Engineer informed that bridge is completed besides macdamization of approach road is also completed.While inspecting the pace of work on these important bridges, the DDC directed the concerned executing agency to speed up the pace of work by way of putting more men and machinery on work so that the projects are completed within the set timeline.
