District Development Commissioner, Pulwama Raghav Langer , today launched ‘Jal Jeevan Mission- Har Ghar Nal Se Jal’ at a function organized here today.Additional Deputy Commissioner, SE hydraulic, engineers from I&FC, PHE, R&B, BDC chairpersons, PRIs and other concerned officer's and engineers attended the function.On the occasion, Exen PHE presented details regarding per capita demand of drinking water and household wise list of uncovered habitations in the district.Speaking on the occasion, DDC said that Jal Jeevan Mission is set to be based on various water conservation efforts and aim of mission is to bring piped water to each household. He directed officials of PHE Department while formulating the plans regarding the implementation of various PHE Schemes PRI members should be take into consideration.He also directed concerned departments to take effective measures for the water conservation and preservation of natural water resources in the district.He advised PRI members to sanitize the people about the regularization of connections and also stressed for the judicious use of water.
