Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur presided over the meeting here today to review the preparedness for proposed mega rally to be held at Shimla on completion of two years tenure of the present State Government on 27th December,2019. Chief Minister said that the proposed rally would be held at The Ridge Shimla. He said that thousands of beneficiaries of various welfare schemes of the State Government and general public would be participating in the rally which would be made an historic event. Jai Ram Thakur said that party workers and general public throughout the State would be participating in this rally which would also be graced by National BJP leaders, Ministers and other leaders of the State.

He said that effective and foolproof security arrangements be made during the visit of the Union Home Minister and other VVIPs besides ensuring that general public do not face any inconvenience due to traffic regulations. Jai Ram Thakur said that booklet and developmental documentary film highlighting the achievements of the State Government during two years tenure would also be released on the occasion. While reviewing the ground breaking ceremony to be organized on the same day, Chief Minister said that ground breaking ceremony of MoUs worth Rs. 13790 crore were expected to be performed during the occasion in which over 250 entrepreneurs are expected.Education Minister Suresh Bhardwaj, Political Advisor to Chief Minister Trilok Jamwal, Chief Secretary Dr. Shrikant Baldi, Additional Chief Secretaries Anil Khachi, Ram Subhag Singh, Nisha Singh, Manoj Kumar and R.D. Dhiman, Principal Secretaries J.C. Sharma and Onkar Sharma, DGP S.R. Mardi, Secretaries Dr. R.N. Batta, Akshay Sood, and Amitabh Awasthi, Director Tourism Yunus, MD HPTDC and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.Later, Chief Minister also visited proposed rally  site at the Ridge and gave necessary directions to officers for making all out effort for success of the event.
