In view of continuous rainfall and snowfall in districts of Jammu division the Divisional Commissioner Jammu,  Sanjeev Verma  today held an extensive meeting with Deputy Commissioners and the heads of various departments to take district wise review of restoration of power supply, clearance of snow, stock position of essentials and the overall winter preparedness in Jammu division.The meeting was attended by Additional Commissioner, Manisha Sareen, Director FCS&CA, Jatinder Singh, Chief Engineer PDD, Sudhir Gupta, SSP Traffic Jammu, Joginder Singh besides senior functionaries of Health, PHE,  Oil Companies and other concerned officers while Deputy Commissioners of Jammu division along with other concerned officers attended the meeting through video conferencing.The DCs apprised the chair about the damage occur due to continuous rainfall and snowfall in their respective districts.It was informed that men and machinery is in place to restore power supply and clearance of snow from roads to make roads traffic worthy.

Meanwhile, the Div Com sought details of availability of ration, LPG, medicines and other essential commodities in the districts. The DCs apprised the Div Com that sufficient stock of essentials is available in their respective Districts.The Div Com passed directions for early clearance of snow from roads to make them functional. He also directed for restoration of power supply in the districts.He also directed the concerned officers to ensure 100% availability of doctors and medical staff in the hospitals to provide timely and better facilities to the people.
