District Administration Bandipora organized a painting competition under Beti Bachao Beti Padhavo (BBBP)scheme in collaboration with Kashmir Environmental and Social Organization (KESO) Bandipora today at Conference Hall, of Mini Secretariat Bandipora.The programme was attended by the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Bandipora Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza who was chief guest on the occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bandipora Zahoor Ahmad Mir, Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, District Youth Services and Sports OfficerGh Hassan Mir, general secretary KESO Imtiyaz Rashid besides Asha workers and students from various schools of the district.Speaking on the occasion the DDC said such programmes are essential for generating awareness among the masses about the importance of girl child and her empowerment.On the occasion, a painting competition was held in which the students of various schools participated.The Simran Sarwar, Sehrish and Sumaya bagged first, second and third positions respectively. The position holders were felicitated with awards and certificates.Later, a cultural programme was presented by the students of Haider Sports Academy besides self-defense demo was also presented for the women/girl participants.
