The second phase of “Back to Village”-2 programme concluded successfully in the district Budgam.As many as 92 Panchayat halqas in 17 Blocks of the district were covered under the phase second of the programme.The programme generated massive response from the people as locals, Panchayat members and senior citizens participated in Gram Sabhas. Interactive sessions and awareness programmes were also conducted during the proceedings. Various developmental works were also inaugurated during the programme.People raised demands and grievances regarding the upgradation of schools, health centers, construction of roads, augmentation of power and water supply schemes, construction of parks and bridges with the visiting officers. During the programme, foundation stones for various development works were laid besides distribution of sports kits and inauguration of developmental in various halqas.The officers along with concerned officials during field visits asked for prioritization of works from local representatives of these areas.
