District Development Commissioner Budgam, Tariq Hussain Ganaie today visited various Panchayats in the district in the connection with the third day of the ongoing ‘Back to Village’ Phase II (B2V2) programme.During the visit, the DDC met various deputations who projected developmental issues concerning their respective areas.At Shiekhpora, the DDC said that the under-construction Bridge at Railway-track will be taken up with the Railway authorities on priority.The DDC also visited the Razwen in Block Budgam and interacted with local residents and Panchayat members.The DDC directed the Executive Engineer to issue 20 electric poles to augment power distribution mechanism in the area. He also emphasized on supply of uninterrupted potable water to the residents under new Water Supply Scheme.He also reviewed the implementation of social security schemes, functioning of PRIs—assuring people that all of their genuine demands would be addressed on priority.Meanwhile, various programmes including public interactions and Gram Sabhas were held by visiting officers as part of the outreach programme.
