The “Back to Village” programme (B2V2) was today conducted in 5 CD Blocks of Anantnag, Achabal, Shangus, Chittergul and Sagam.The designated officers visited Panchayat Halqas of Brakpora, Kadapora, Bulbul Nowgam, Nowgam, Pushroo, Ogibalan, Shangus, Chittergul, Panchalthan, Chowgam, Khulchor, Ranipora, Chittsinghpora, Kawarigam, Gupalpora etc.At Panchayat Halqa Munghal, Visiting Officer DG Budgets, Mohammed Yaqoob Itoo interacted with people and heard their demands and grievances. The DG assured quick redressal of the problems and fulfillment of the demands being raised in the programme. He stressed upon the officers to prioritize the works of immediate need as demanded by the public during the said programme.The DG was informed that most of the demands raised during B2V1 June this year in the said Panchayat Halqa have been fulfilled, including installation of ATM, Macadamization of roads, 100% coverage under social security schemes, organizing Handloom training capsules, sanctioning of 03 cases under PMEGP, 18 cases under PMAY, two cases by JKEDI, 08 cases under Ladli Beti, sanctioning of 25 SBM cases and one power transformer with HT/LT Poles, besides construction of FB Bund for graveyard, tiling of lanes and development of public park under convergence mode of 14thFC & MNREGA. During the “B2V2” held in these blocks people projected various demands related to supply of drinking water, changing of old water pipes, supply of electric conductor poles and high voltage transformers, additional transformers, supply of power as per curtailment schedule, sanction of relief for orchards, establishment of Veterinary/ Sheep Centres, issuances of KCC loans, construction of protection bunds on nallahs, construction of Shamshan Ghat for Sikh community at Chittisinghpora, restoration of damaged water pipes and water logging on roads.The visiting officers heard the demands with patience and assured the public that their genuine demands would be fulfilled in a short span of time while as demands related to establishment of government institutions will be sent to the higher authorities for consideration.The visiting officers on the occasion also said that most of the projections, demands have been accommodated by RDD in 14th FCA & MGNERGA and some of the works will be inaugurated on 28th of November, 2019.
