The first phase of ‘Back to Village’ Phase II (B2V2) culminated here today during which 39 Panchayat halqas were covered by visiting officers to profile development concerns of people.Under the first leg of B2V2, the designated officers along with other government functionaries continued the programme with great enthusiasm and synergy. They visited their designated Panchayat Halqas to interact with people and briefed them about various schemes launched by the government. Several Gram Sabhas were also held.During these interactions, feedback regarding bad roads, health and hygiene, sanitation, drinking water facilities were raised by the people. The participants raised various issues with regard to the development of the villages with the officers, who heard them with keen interest and explained them various developmental programmes and schemes initiated by the government for the overall development of the rural areas.Secretary RDD, Sheetal Nanda (visiting officer) visited several Panchayat Halqas and laid foundation stone of various developmental works that were approved under first phase of B2V programme.She also laid foundation of Playground and Common Service Centre, Footpath, Bathroom block, Culvert and Water Tank at Sonamarg Panchayat Halqa.
