The District Development Commissioners today briefed media persons regarding the measure being taken for the smooth conduct of Phase-II of “Back to Village’ programme commencing from 25th to 30th November across the Valley.In Ganderbal, District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal Hashmat Ali Khan sought cooperation of media persons working in District Ganderbal for wide publicity of the 2nd Phase of “Back to Village” programme. While briefing the media, he said that the objective of the programme is to provide governance at the door steps of people and speeding up developmental scenario in rural areas by bridging the gap between administration and the people.In Pulwama, briefing the media persons, the DDC, Dr Raghav Langer said that the programme is a unique one to reach out to people at grassroot level.He said that 21 officers from GAD and 169 District officers will visit the 190 panchayats of the district who will spend two days and one night there and will aware the people regarding the implementation government schemes and developmental projects .In Kupwara, the DDC Anshul Garg, briefing the media, said for smooth conduct of the programme, the GAD has nominated 19 visiting officers besides 366 officers will be deployed by the district administration for the smooth conduct of the programme in the district.He said that all arrangements have been put in place and a Control Room has been established at DC Office to assist the field functionaries.  He added that 375 Panchayat Halqas will be covered under Phases-II of the Programme.
