The Punjab Government in a series of ongoing celebrations dedicated to 550thParkash Purb of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji organized a ‘Kavi Darbar’ here today at Main Pandal.In the presence of huge gathering the famous poets from all over the country presented their poems dedicated to the teaching of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. This Kavi Darbar was unique in itself as it was on the theme 41 words of Gurmukhi lilpi and prominent 41 poets presented poems enlightening the audience about the teachings of Guru Sahib about the various fields. The poets through their poems highlighted the love of brother sister, peace and universal brotherhood about which Guru Sahib. Some of the poets touched the present day serious issue of Air, Water and Soil pollution using the quotes from Gurbani and said that even Guru Sahib 500 years earlier was aware of these issues and gave a message to the people.The Punjab Cabinet Ministers Mr. Manpreet Singh Badal, Mr. Charanjeet Singh Channi and Advisor Chief MinisterCapt. Sandeep Sanhu were prominent present on this ocassion.Finance Minister Mr. Manpreet Singh Badal welcomed the poets on the occasion and Dr. Surjit Pattar conducted the Kavi Darbar and also recited his poems.Prominent poets who presented their poems during the kavi Darbar included Gurdeep Aulakh, Kashis Hushiarpuri, Dr. Sukhjinder Kaur, Dr. Gurbhajan Gill, BD kalia, Sardar Panchi, Tarlochan Lochi, Darshan Buttar, Amarjit Singh Amar, Fartool Chand Fakkar, Dr. Rabina Shabnam, Mukesh Alam, Sukhdeep kaur, Manvinder Singh Dhanoa, Noor Mohamad Noor, Mehak Bharti, Fakir Chand Tulli, Kulwant Singh Grewal, Dr. Mohanjit, Anoop Singh Virk, Mohan Sapra, Gurcharn Singh, Liaquat Jafri, Azmal khan, Jaspreet kaur Phalak, Naushar Amrohvi, Lakhmir Singh, Rabinder Singh and others.
