Principal Secretary Animal & Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries and Transport, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon today convened a meeting regarding recruitment of various non-gazetted posts in Animal, Sheep, Fisheries and Transport Department at Civil Secretariat here.Special Secretary Transport, Rahul Kumar, Chairman Services Selection Board, Bashir Ahmad Dar, Director Sheep Husbandry Jammu, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, Director Animal Husbandry Jammu, Dr. Tahir Hussain Beg, Director State Motor Garages, Zakir Hussain Choudhary, Director Fisheries, R.N Pandita and officials from other concerned departments attended the meeting.During the meeting, Dr. Samoon called for fast tracking the recruitment process for over 500 posts (Stock Assistants, Veterinary Pharmacists, Motor Vehicle Inspectors, Junior Assistants, Drivers, Mechanics, Electricians etc) vacant in various departments. He further suggested that the process of recruitment can be fast tracked by abolishing the interview process in recruiting candidates for the non-gazetted posts.The Principal Secretary also directed the officials of Animal, Sheep, Fisheries and Transport Department to prepare the list of posts which can be created in these departments as they are facing shortage of manpower.During the course of meeting, Dr. Samoon asked the Chairman SSB to fast track the recruitment of Stock Assistants and Veterinary Pharmacists as the department has to implement various centrally sponsored schemes which will require additional manpower and also called for removing all the bottlenecks created in recruitment process at the earliest.
