Dedicated to the 550th Parkash Purab of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the special gold and silver commemorative coins being issued by the Punjab government have become centre of attraction amongst the devotees. A large number of devotees have been purchasing these coins from the exhibition being set up by Punjab Small Industry and Export Corporation (PSIEC) at Sultanpur Lodhi from November 5-15, 2019. The devotees have been purchasing these coins as a memorabilia of 550th Parkash Purab celebrations at Sultanpur Lodhi.The PSIEC has got these coins prepared from Metal and Mineral Corporation of India, which is an agency of Government of India. The Punjab government has got around 3,500 coins prepared in gold (5 grams and 10 grams) and silver (50 grams) and has a logo specially prepared for the 550th Parkash Purab of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji celebrations embossed on them. Besides, the Punjab government have certified them as well.These coins have been development with an aim to promote rural artisanship by PSIEC and are available at the exhibition organised at PUDA Ground, here.PSIEC Managing Director Mr Sibin C informed that these coins have been prepared using 99.9% pure gold and silver and their cover contains certificate of authenticity. He informed that the 5 grams gold coin is available for Rs 22,500, 10 grams gold coin for Rs 45,000 and the 50 grams silver coin for Rs 3300. He stated that these coins can also be purchased from all post offices of the state, PSIEC Phulkari emporiums and Amazon.While purchasing the first 50 gram silver coin from the exhibition, Mr Tripatjit Singh from Muktsar informed that he feels proud to have purchased this special commemorative coin. He informed that he also collects other commemorative coins issued on various events related to Sikh religion. He stated that he feels privileged to become part of this historical religious event that has come during his life time and would always cherish the memories of these mega celebrations through this coin.
