 The Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister, Punjab, Charanjit Singh Channi today launched the badge of logo dedicated to the 550th Prakash Purb celebrations of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji in the presence of the Principal Secretary Tourism Mr. Vikas Pratap and Director Mr. Malwinder Singh Jaggi.The minister said that earlier the Punjab Government had prepared a logo dedicated to the Prakash Purb celebrations and now a badge has been unveiled which the sangat would be able to affix on their wardrobes. The badges would be distributed free of cost by the State Government. The minister further said that the Punjab Government has taken care to provide every facility to the Sangat so as to ensure that the Sangat doesn't encounter any problem during it's stay and paying obeisance at the Gurudwara Sahib at Sultanpur Lodhi. The department also released information booklets in English and Punjabi on the occasion for the facilitation of the sangat expected from the world over. These booklets would be available for free at all the assistance centres.The Principal Secretary Tourism Mr. Vikas Pratap on the occasion added that the State Government has set up 39 Helpdesks in various cities for the comfort of the sangat coming to visit Sultanpur Lodhi during the celebrations. These have been set up at Amritsar and Chandigarh International Airports, Domestic Airport at Adampur, Railway Station Chandigarh, Amritsar and Kapurthala besides Bus Stands at Jalandhar, Kartarpur, Amritsar and Kapurthala and 3 at Dera Baba Nanak.Among others present on the occasion included Director Technical Education Department Mr. Praveen Thind, Deputy Director Tourism Mr. Rohit Gupta, Chancellor Chandigarh University Mr. Satnam Singh Sandhu and Additional Director Technical Education Mrs. Daljit Kaur.
