Inspector General of Police Naunihal Singh and Deputy Commissioner Kapurthala DPS Kharbanda today said that foolproof arrangements would be made for the events to mark the 550th parkash purb of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji.Chairing a meeting here at the main pandal, the IG and Deputy Commissioner, accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police Mr Satinder Singh, said that as lakhs of  devotees were expected to take part in the mega event so no stone would be left unturned to facilitate the pilgrims coming in large number. They said that foolproof arrangements would be put in place to ensure that devotees were able to pay obeisance in a smooth and hassle free manner. The officers said that the civil and Police officers have meticulously prepared out a detailed plan to ensure that people do not face any sort of inconvenience.Exhorting the officers to perform their duty zealously, the Inspector General of Police and Deputy Commissioner said that this mammoth task was not possible without the proper coordination of officers from civil and Police department. 

They said that PCS and PPS officers have been deputed to minutely oversee the arrangements for the event. Both the officers asked the PCS and PPS officers to exhibit remarkable unison for ensuring all sort of assistance to pilgrims by performing duty with utmost dedication.The Inspector General of Police and Deputy Commissioner said that we all must perform our duty in a committed manner as it was a life time opportunity to be a part of these commemorative events.  They also said that from November 1 the full deployment plan of security forces would be implemented to ensure safety and security of people along with facilitating them. They said that four type of passes were being issued at sultanpur lodhi to facilitate the people which includes passes for city residents,  duty passes for head of departments and other officers and special vehicle passes for emergency services like fire Bridge, ambulances , E- rickshaw,  recovery Van's and for supply vehicles  langars and for media .Prominent amongst present on the occasion included ADC Rahul chabha,   SP Mandeep Singh,  SP Tejbir Singh,  SDMs Varinderpal Singh Bajwa,  Dr. Charumita and Randeep Singh heer , Latif Ahmad,  OSD for 550th Gurpurab Navneet kaur bal, Joint commissioner MC Jalandhar Gurwinder Singh johal ,  PCS Swati Tiwana and Shikha Bhagat , DSPs Vishaljeet Singh,  Manjit kaur and higher officials of various departments.
