566 MoUs worth Rs. 81319 crore signed : Jai Ram Thakur

As many as 566 Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) worth Rs. 81319 crore having employment potential to over 1.50 lakh people  were signed by the state government in various sectors  with  the  prospective investors till date. This was stated by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur here today while interacting with the media.Jai Ram Thakur said that state government was organising a Global Investors Meet on 7th and 8th November, 2019 at Dharamshala to showcase the potential of the State to the investors. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would inaugurate this Mega Meet and Home Minister Amit Shah will also participate.Chief Minister said that 196 MoUs of Rs. 12977.84 crore had been signed in industries sector and 192 MoUs with an investment of Rs. 14955 crore in tourism and civil aviation sector and 31 MoUs of Rs. 12277 crore in housing sector. He said that focus of the present State Government was to make Himachal Pradesh a self-sufficient and employment oriented state. He said that 10 MoUs worth Rs. 1804.71 crore have been signed in IT whereas eight MoUs worth Rs. 2745 crore have been signed in transport sector. He said that 22 MoUs which would attract investments to the tune of Rs. 5392.86 crore were signed in urban development sector. He said that 35 MoUs have been signed in Ayurveda sector which would attract investment of Rs. 972.25 crore.  

Jai Ram Thakur said that the state government has approved AYUSH Policy, 2019 to provide cost effective AYUSH services with universal access through upgrading AYUSH hospitals and Dispensaries.  He said that the policy envisages attractive incentives for prospective investors in AYUSH and Wellness Sector. The important fiscal incentives are capital subsidy on AYUSH Therapy unit at the rate of 25 percent of Fixed Capital Investment with a ceiling of Rs. One crore excluding cost of land, interest subvention of 4 percent on term loan with ceiling of Rs. 15 lakh per annum, Net SGST reimbursement at the rate of 75 percent for seven years, incentives for initiatives in power saving, environmental conservation and for women entrepreneurs, recruitment assistance will be provided in giving employment to Himachali bonafide besides this, lease rental subsidy and rebate on stamp duty will be given to selective investible projects.He said that  the government has also formulated new IT, ITes and ESDM Policy, 2019 for making Himachal Pradesh as a most favoured investment destination for IT, ITeS and ESDM companies which will go a long way in  building infrastructural support system to all IT, ITeS and ESDM industry requirements.
