Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today addressed largely attended election rallies at Narag and Sarahan in Pachhad assembly constituency in favour of BJP candidate Reena Kashyap for the bye-elections. Chief Minister said that prior to the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress leaders issued baseless and misleading statements, but soon after the landslide victory of the BJP, they were perplexed and perturbed. He said that now during the bye-elections, the Congress leaders have no issue and nothing to say against the State Government as well as the Centre. He said that the State BJP does not believe in mere statements and raking up issues but believes in development of the State. He said that thus from the day one, the BJP Government in the State has taken several historic decisions for the welfare of the State and its people. Jai Ram Thakur said that the State Government during this period has implemented several decisions which were bound to transform the economy of the people of the State. He said that Janmanch programme launched by the State Government has been appreciated even by the political opponents. Similarly, the very first decision of the State Government to lower the age limit of senior citizens for availing old age pension without any income criteria from 80 years to 70 years have benefitted over 1.30 lakh senior citizens, he added. He said that now the 1100 Chief Minister Helpline was proving a boon to the people of the State for redressal of their grievances.
Chief Minister said that under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has emerged as a strong and vibrant Nation and world has now acknowledged India as a super power. He said that Prime Minister has taken many historic decisions such as abrogation of Article 370 which was the root cause of the spread of terrorism and anti national activities in the Valley and now with this bold decision, possible due to a strong leadership, would open a new era of peace, progress and prosperity in the Jammu Kashmir area.Chief Minister said that the BJP had set a record in itself by winning in all the 68 assembly constituencies of the State in the recent Lok Sabha elections. He said that the vote share of the BJP was highest in the Country besides, the highest victory margin in term of vote percentage was also of BJP's MP Shri Kishan Kapoor who is also from Kangra parliamentary seat. He said that it was due to this that the Nation today has a strong leadership in form of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He said that today India was poised to emerge as a world power under the dynamic leadership of Narendra Modi.He said that the Union Government had launched Ayushmaan Bharat Yojna for the people of the Country for providing insurance cover of up to Rs 5 lakh. He said that as many as 50 crore people had been covered under this Scheme, which was ensuring that the poor patients were not deprived of specialised health care facilities due to want of money. He said that the State Government was also implementing this Scheme effectively so that maximum people could be benefitted. He said that as many as 22 lakh people of the State have been covered under the Scheme. He said that the State Government has launched HimCare Scheme in the State to provide health insurance cover to those families who have been left out from Ayushmaan Bharat Yojna.Chief Minister urged the people of the Pachhad to vote in favour of the BJP Candidate Reena Kashyap for ensuring that the pace of development goes uninterrupted.Several families associated with Congress joined the BJP on the occasion.
