MLA Mr. Sushil Kumar Rinku, Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Mr. Varinder Kumar Sharma, Commissioner of Police Mr. Gurpreet Singh Bhullar and Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Navjot Singh Mahal today said that the district administration would ensure foolproof arrangements for the upcoming Shobha Yatra, to mark the Parkash Utsav of Bhagwan Valmiki ji Maharaj, on October 12.Presiding over a meeting to review the arrangements for the Shobha Yatra during the meeting with the various committees here today, the MLA, Deputy Commissioner, Commissioner of Police, Senior Superintendent of Police the administration was duty-bound for making elaborate arrangements so that people could participate in the Shobha Yatra with full religious gaiety and enthusiasm. They said that the district administration would leave no stone unturned for making this event a huge success. They asked the people to participate in the Shobha Yatra with full religious fervor.Dwelling on another point, the MLA, Deputy Commissioner, Commissioner, Commissioner of Police and Senior Superintendent of Police said that requisite arrangements would be made for traffic diversion, parking of vehicles, security arrangements and other facilities during the Shobha Yatra, so that pilgrims do not face any sort of problem.  They asked every concerned officer to make sure that their staff performs the duty diligently for smooth conduct of affairs during this famous Shobha Yatra.  

They said that every officer / official must ensure that people participating in this Shobha do not face any sort of problem.The MLA, Deputy Commissioner, Commissioner of Police and Senior Superintendent of Police directed the Municipal Corporation Jalandhar to ensure proper cleanliness of the route of the Shobha Yatra, sprinkle water on roads and ensure temporary urinal and mobile toilets for the pilgrims participating in this mega event. Likewise, they asked the Health department to depute Medical teams during the Shobha Yatra along with medicines and Ambulances to facilitate the people. They also asked the PSPCL to evolve a mechanism for ensuring supply of uninterrupted power during the Shobha Yatra.They said that the Police would make necessary arrangements for maintaining law and order during the yatra adding that the deployment of lady force would be made in adequate number to ensure safety of women participants.On the occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Jasbir Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr. Naresh Dogra,Mr. Amrik Singh Powar, Mr Balkar Singh,  Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Ms. D Sudharvizhi, Assistant Commissioner Ms. Shayari Malhotra , SDM Mr.Sanjeev Sharma and others were also present.During the meeting leaders of Valmiki Community including Mr. Amrit Khosla,Mr. Chandan Grewal, Mr. Rajesh Bhatti, Mr. Jatinder Nikka, Mr. Vipan Sabharwal and others thanked the administration for necessary support and cooperation.
