As per the directions of the Chief Minster Captain Amarinder Singh the Punjab Cultural Affairs Minister Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi is on UK tour to invite 'Nanak Naam Leva' sangat to participate in the 550th Parkash Purb celebrations of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Mr. Channi held a meeting at Central London with prominent Punjabis in this regard.On the occasion the Cultural Affairs Minister briefed about the 550th Parkash Purb celebration programmes which would be organised by the Punjab government from 1st to 12th November, 2019 at the holy city Sultanpur Lodhi. He also extended an open invite on behalf of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh to all the Punjabis living in UK to participate in these celebrations.Organiser of this meeting Mr. Peter Virdhi informed the gathering that they would wholeheartedly participate in the 550th Parkash Purb Celebrations and would also contribute for this noble cause. He also said that the Virdhi foundation would also be contributing 500 Million pounds for the 550th Parkash Purb celebrations in Pakistan.Others prominent present on the occasion included Bhai Ravi Singh CEO Khalsa Aid, Lord Raj Loomba, Lord Ranger, Lord Suri, Manjit – CEO of Binti Period NGO, BEE2 Director – Music Producer, Rajinder Singh Basin – President of Central Khalsa Jatha London Gurdwara 1908, Jagmail Singh Gill – Chairman of Cenral Khalsa Jatha London Gurdwara 1908, Dips Singh – CEO of Dominoes pizza franchise, Davinder Singh Bal – CEO of Sikh Channel, Mr Gurpreet Singh Ananad – Acting president Central Khalsa Jatha London Gurdwara  1908 and many other prominent Punjabis.
