Transport Minister Govind Singh Thakur today inaugurated the state-level office campus cleanliness drive at the Interstate Bus Station Tutikandi (ISBT) Shimla. The program was organized under 'cleanliness week' celebrated on the occasion of 69th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On the occasion he cleaned the bus stand premises and also inspected the cleanliness in busses.The Minister made people aware about the cleanliness and also distributed cloth bags giving message of 'Say No To Single- Use- Plastic'. He said that boycotting plastic will not only reduce plastic waste but will also prevent people from the diseases caused due to the use of plastic. He urged people to come forward and be part of this cleanliness program and contribute for keeping the city clean.He said that after assuming the power Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given special importance to cleanliness and many programs were also organized for this. Through this cleanliness campaign an effort is being made to spread Prime Ministers Narendra Modi's message regarding cleanliness among the masses. He said that through this campaign Narendra Modi's dream of Clean India will also be realized.Managing Director of Himachal Road Transport Corporation Yunus and Executive Director Anupam Kashyap were also present on the occasion among others.
