Jalandhar Circle Gets 139 Chbs, Four Chws And One Complaint Handling Van

In a major step to ensure the prompt redressal of electricity complaints effectively and efficiently, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) on Monday, has initiated Complaint Handling Bikes and Complaint Handling Wagons for Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur and SBS Nagar circles (Nawanshahr). In a simple but impressive gathering at Shakti Sadan, PSPCL Director Distribution NK Sharma said that Jalandhar Circle will have 139 CHBs, four CHWs fixed with ladder and one Complaint Handling Van. He said that each CHB team will have two expert Technicians equipped with a special type of uniform and latest equipment.Mr.Sharma told that each CHW will have eight workers with adequate stock of equipment and Complaint Handling Van (Hydraulic type) will have eight workers and a total 318 workers have been deployed under this new service.PSPCL director told in SBS Nagar circle, 132 CHBs and three CHWs for Circle totalling 288 workers and in Hoshiarpur circle, 165 CHBs and 3 CHWs totalling 354 workers have been deployed Mr Sharma said that this fleet of CHBs and CHWs will ensure quality and quick service to the consumers as soon as possible once they register any kind of complaint with PSPCL on 1912, mobile app or other mobile numbers of PSPCL officials. 

He said that Jalandhar Circle will also have Complaint Handling Van (Hydraulic type) which will facilitate during inclement weather, storms when the trees fall on the HT/LT Lines and Poles.The PSPCL distribution director further informed that the distribution of CHBs has been done as division wise in three of the circles. He said that Jalandhar circle has five divisions consisting Cantonment Division at Barring village, Model Town Division at Butta Mandi, West Division at Maqsudan, East Division at Pathankot Chowk and Phagwara Division. Similarly, Hoshiarpur circle has six divisions that include City Division, Sub-urban Division, Dasuya Division, Mukerian Division, Mahilpur Division and Bhogpur Division and SBS Nagar has four divisions including Goraya Division, Banga Division, Garhshankar Division and Nawanshahr Division.He said that PSPCL under guidance its Chairman cum Managing Director Mr Baldev Singh Sran is committed to serve the consumers at any cost. Prominent among present on the occasion Chief Engineer North Zone Mr Sanjiv Kumar, Deputy Chief Engineer Mr Harjinder Singh Bansal, Superintendent Engineer Mr Inderpal Singh, Deputy Chief Engineer Mr PS Khamba and Deputy Chief Engineer Mr DK Sharma.
