The Punjab Government has decided to arrange free visit for students of the State to the Holy City of Sultanpur Lodhi on the 550th Parkash Purb of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji. After presiding over a meeting to review the arrangements for the 550th Parkash Purb celebrations here today, the Tourism & Cultural Affairs Minister Charanjit Singh Channi while disclosing this directed the Transport Department to make all necessary arrangements for the visit of students to the Holy City.The Minister also said that the students would be taken on the visit to Sultanpur Lodhi from 1st to 12th November, 2019. He said that that the meeting of School Education Department, Technical Education, Higher Education and Medical Education Department and Transport Department would be held soon with the group of Ministers to chalk out free visit programme for the students to the Sultanpur Lodhi.The Minister also appealed to all the private educational institutes to provide free visit to their students to the Holy City on the occasion of 550th Parkash Purb Celebrations of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. 

The Minister also reviewed the progress of the various projects regarding the 550th Parkash Purb Celebrations during the meeting. The officials of all the departments assured that all the arrangements for the 550th Parkas Purb Celebrations would be completed by mid August.Others prominent people present in the meeting included Capt. Sandeep Sandhu Political Secretary to Chief Minister Punjab, Mr. Navtej Singh Cheema MLA, A. Venu Prasad Principal Secretary Local Government, Vikas Pratap Principal Secretary Culture and Tourism, K Shiva Prasad Principal Secretary Transport,   Hussan Lal Secretary Public Works,  Malwinder Singh Jaggi Director Culture and Tourism, Mr. Rahul Gupta Director Sports, Mr. Amit Tawar Additional Secretary, Water Supply & Sanitation and Dr. Senu Duggal Additional Director Public Relations.
