The office bearers of Prof. Mohan Singh Foundation led by President  Pragat Singh Grewal, Secretary General Prof. Nirmal Jaura, Chairman Inderjit Singh Grewal, Gurnam Singh Dhaliwal, Captain Harjinder Singh and Sarpanch Jagjindra Singh called on the Cultural Affairs Minister, Punjab, Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi here today at his camp office.The foundation office bearers on the occasion proposed to offer full assistance to the State Government with regard to the 550th Parkash Purb celebrations at Sultanpur Lodhi. The foundation proposed that it intends to showcase musical presentations based only on the teachings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji which would be purely religious in nature. This proposal included Dhadhi, Kaveeshar, Religious  Music, Religious Plays as well as exhibitions based on the life of Guru Sahib.Agreeing with the proposal, Mr. Channi said that the formal approval would be granted only after consulting the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh.The minister further said that the need of the hour is for all the institutions and forums working throughout the country and abroad to promote Punjabi Culture, Arts, Literature, Music, to come together on a single platform and work in unison. This would lead to Punjab making waves all across the globe. He also appreciated the cultural movement initiated by the foundation throughout the State. He also added that strong and vibrant culture acts as a source of strength for the nation in tackling social ills.Prof. Nirmal Jaura on the occasion thanked Mr. Channi for giving positive response to the proposal.
