MLA Sushil Kumar Rinku and Additional Deputy Commissioner Kulwant Singh today said that the district administration would ensure elaborate arrangements for the upcoming Shobha Yatra to mark the Parkash Utsav of Satguru Gian Giri Maharaj on June 14.Presiding over a meeting to review the arrangements for the Shobha Yatra here at the District Administrative Complex, the MLA and Additional Deputy Commissioner, who was officiating as Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar, said that no stone would be left unturned to ensure that this shobha yatra which covers around five kilometer radius in Bhargo Camp and nearby localities was held in a smooth and hassle free manner. They said that the administration was duty-bound for making elaborate arrangements so that pilgrims could participate in the Shobha Yatra with full religious gaiety and enthusiasm. They asked the people to participate in the Shobha Yatra with full religious fervor adding that the Administration would ensure that pilgrims coming from other parts of the country were facilitated during the shobha yatra. 

Dwelling on another point, they said that requisite arrangements would be made for traffic diversion, parking of vehicles, security arrangements and other facilities during the Shobha Yatra, so that pilgrims do not face any sort of problem. They said that the Municipal Corporation Jalandhar would ensure proper cleanliness of the route of the Shobha Yatra, sprinkle water on roads and ensure temporary urinal and mobile toilets for the pilgrims participating in this mega event. Likewise, the Health department would depute Medical teams during the Shobha Yatra along with medicines and Ambulances to facilitate the people. Similarly, the PSPCL would evolve a mechanism for supplying uninterrupted power during the Shobha Yatra adding that the Police would make necessary arrangements for maintaining law and order during the yatra. On the occasion Sub Divisional Magistrates Mr. Paramveer Singh and Mr. Sanjiv Sharma, Assistant Commissioner Ms. Shayari Malhotra, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr. Ashwani Kumar, Councilor Mr. Bunty Neelkanth, Mr. Surinder Chaudhary, Mr. Raj Kumar Raju and other religious leaders were also present.
